Snoqualmie, WA – The Snoqualmie River near downtown Snoqualmie is currently flowing at approximately 3,700 cubic feet per second* (cfs). River stages are forecast to increase throughout Friday, cresting at approximately 50,000 cfs on Friday morning, November 12 according to King County Flood Services.
Road Closures
Some lowland flooding may occur, such as on SE Reinig Road and Mill Pond Road, which could result in temporary road closures. Do not drive through water or around road barriers.
Storm Drains and Pooling Water
During times of heavy rainfall, residents can help prevent water from pooling in local streets by keeping storm drain entrances clear of debris, including leaves and tree branches. Storm drains help to quickly move water off streets preventing dangerous driving conditions.
Parking
Residents in areas that experience higher waters during early flood stages are advised to move vehicles to higher ground, such as the parking lot by Snoqualmie Community Park, 35016 SE Ridge St (next to the YMCA).
Sandbags Available as Needed
Residents or businesses that need sandbags now or for future flooding can get them at the Public Works Facility, 38910 SE Stearns Road (near the Tokul Roundabout and Mill Pond Rd).
The Snoqualmie Emergency Management Department is continuing to monitor river flow changes.
