City of Snoqualmie Flood Recovery Phase

News & Announcements Posted on December 16, 2025

The City of Snoqualmie facilitated a free flood debris drop-off station this past weekend for downtown residents, made possible by a small group of dedicated community volunteers working alongside City staff.

Over 80 volunteers, coordinated by Danielle Cox, Love Snoqualmie Valley, worked tirelessly Saturday and Sunday alongside the City of Snoqualmie Parks and Public staff to assist residents in bringing materials damaged by recent flooding. “We simply could not have done the work without these amazing volunteers,” stated Mayor Ross, “their commitment, along with round-the-clock efforts of our first responders and City staff, demonstrated the incredible strength of our community. We are truly stronger together.”

The City’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) was fully activated on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 1:30 pm. City staff from all departments including Mayor Ross and City Administrator Mike Chambless, and representatives from Communications, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Fire, Parks and Public Works, and Police, played vital roles in the response and cleanup coordination. The EOC remained staffed this weekend to coordinate the flood debris event, and to assist residents by dedicated phone lines.

The Parks and Public Works department advises that Snoqualmie residents (within 98065 zip code) who have flood-damaged materials, should contact the Emergency Operations Center, 425.888.5911, between 8am and 5pm to request debris pick-up. Please note: Drop-off of flood debris is not permitted. All debris must be scheduled for pickup through the EOC.

While this past week has been difficult, the city is pleased to report that Historic Downtown Snoqualmie District businesses did not sustain flood damage. Businesses are open and ready to serve shoppers. As the community heads into the holiday season, the city encourages everyone to shop local and support Snoqualmie small businesses in Historic Downtown and on Snoqualmie Ridge.
