Celebrate and help preserve our natural areas on Green Snoqualmie Day, Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 9 am to noon, on Park Street – across from the Mount Si High School track field - in downtown Snoqualmie.
Fall, the kickoff to the planting season, is a great time to help a tree take root and leave a living legacy in the community. During Green Snoqualmie Day 2024, volunteers will plant Snoqualmie’s very own Climate Change Adaptation Demonstration Forest.
You will plant trees and shrubs that help Snoqualmie’s urban forest adapt to a changing climate using resistance, resilience and transition strategies that will steward the urban forest to benefit the community today - and well into the future.
Coffee, water, and snacks will be provided, as well as gloves and tools. This all-ages event is great for families, and those of all abilities are welcome.
Through the Green Snoqualmie Partnership, an initiative to restore and steward Snoqualmie’s forested parks and natural areas, thousands of square feet of invasive plants have been removed and numerous trees planted.
