The Snoqualmie Firefighters Association recently recognized Lauren Kremer and Anna Findlay, both 2023 graduates of Mount Si High School, with scholarships of $1,500 each. Kremer will attend Whitworth University while Findlay will attend UCLA.
“The Snoqualmie Firefighters Association would like to congratulate both scholarship winners for their hard work and dedication. We wish them success in their upcoming journeys,” said Josh Demetrescu of the Snoqualmie Firefighters Association Scholarship Committee.
Each year, the Snoqualmie Firefighters Association raises scholarship funds primarily through donations at their annual Pancake Breakfast and Silent Auction. The scholarship program allows the association to provide financial assistance to local college-bound students who intend to pursue a degree in the fields of fire science, medicine/medical related, or police/criminal justice.
“We would like to express our gratitude for the continued support the association receives from the Snoqualmie community, which makes these scholarships possible,” said Snoqualmie Firefighters Association Vice President Cat Cotton.
The Snoqualmie Firefighters Association is a non-profit organization of both career and volunteer firefighters and emergency medical technicians (EMTs). The association supports the Snoqualmie Fire Department’s goals and mission statement with special equipment requests as well as community events, education, and outreach.
