Snoqualmie International Block Party Celebrates Culture and Community

BlockParty2023

September 9, 11 am to 5 pm, Center Boulevard

The Snoqualmie International Block Party, held on Saturday, September 9, this year offers music, food, art, and performances inspired by various cultures. The block party features 60 vendor booths, kids’ activities, a YMCA exercise passport, entertainment, and many food options.

The annual event is hosted by the City of Snoqualmie and the Snoqualmie Valley Chamber of Commerce, and celebrates the diversity of Snoqualmie residents and businesses.

Entertainment

A Chinese Dragon Parade kicks off the day with a parade down Center Blvd at 11 am. Saints and Scholars will present Irish music programming throughout the day; other performers include bagpiper Neil Hubbard, Irish dancers, the Rhythm of India dance group, and Whiskey Ridge (country). An Indian Fashion Show will be presented by Voice of the Planet.

Food

Enjoy a variety of cuisines at restaurants along Center Blvd, including Indian, Irish, Italian, Mexican, Thai, and Korean, in addition to food trucks.

Welcoming Week

The block party coincides with Welcoming Week, an event held Sept. 8-17 to celebrate the benefits of an inclusive society and deepen our commitment to creating places that are welcome to everyone.

As part of your block party experience, stop by a mural painted by Sarah Hughes at the Snoqualmie Library and sponsored by the Snoqualmie Arts Commission. Learn more about Welcoming Week through events and books at the Snoqualmie Library.
