On July 8, 2024, the Snoqualmie City Council approved the 2025-2030 Non-Utilities Capital Improvement Plan (CIP), which will guide investments and improvements of the City’s parks, transportation, and facility infrastructure over the next six years.
The nearly $62 million Non-Utilities Capital Improvement Plan invests in the livability of Snoqualmie, protecting and enhancing public infrastructure with fiscal transparency and operational stability.
Projects and programs contained in the approved Non-Utilities CIP include the Community Center Expansion project, which includes an aquatics center addition, with construction planned for 2025 once remaining funding is secured; the street resurfacing program; the sidewalk improvement program; playground and trail replacement programs; the Rivertrail project; Meadowbrook Bridge restoration project; fire and police station improvements projects; and more.
“This Non-Utilities Capital Improvement Plan was the result of collaboration and community feedback and will guide our ongoing commitment to protecting and enhancing the high quality of life Snoqualmie residents enjoy.” said Mayor Katherine Ross.
About
The Non-Utilities Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) is a planning and financial management tool that helps the City identify and prioritize capital investments over a six-year period. The CIP is required by the Washington State Growth Management Act (GMA) (RCW 36.70A) and requires local governments plan and manage growth that would impact the environment and quality of life.
