Snoqualmie premieres on the big screen this week in the feature film Train Dreams, which was partially filmed in Snoqualmie in May of 2024. Key Snoqualmie locations are prominently featured in Train Dreams with the support from the Northwest Railway Museum, which brought the authentic railroad scenes to life on the big screen.
On Friday, November 7, 2025, at 7 pm, the North Bend Theatre will roll out the red carpet for the local premiere of Train Dreams.
“This film reflects the logging heritage of the families in the Snoqualmie Valley. It masterfully captures the rugged, often perilous lives our great grandparents endured,” said North Bend Theatre owner Beth Burrow. “We’re thrilled to see Train Dreams bring their legacy to life on screen and are grateful to Netflix for all their support.”
Adapted from Denis Johnson’s Pulitizer Prize finalist novella, the film stars Joel Edgerton, Felicity Jones, and William H. Macy, in a tale of solitude, industry, and transformation in the early 20th century Pacific Northwest.
