Serve Your Community on a City of Snoqualmie Commission

Blue Sky City Hall

Snoqualmie, WA – Two City of Snoqualmie commissions and one committee are seeking new members, including the Arts Commission, the Parks and Events Commission, and the Human Services Advisory Committee. This is a great opportunity to serve and become involved in your community. Note that commission and committee meetings currently meet via Zoom or Dial-In.

The Arts Commission helps develop and support public programs for the arts and advises the City on permanent public art installations. This commission, which meets the second Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. on an as-needed basis, has one opening.

The Human Services Advisory Committee helps manage the Human Services Program by administering the funding application process, advising the City Council on biennial budget allocations, and providing oversight of Human Services funds. This advisory committee meets on an as-needed basis and has one opening.

The Parks and Events Commission helps determine parks usage and initiatives along with upcoming events. This committee, which meets the third Monday of each month at 7 p.m., has three openings.

Mayor Matt Larson is considering applications for appointment and confirmation by the City Council. To apply, visit the Statement of Interest for Appointment to Boards, Commissions, and Committees on the Snoqualmie website at snoqualmiewa.gov, under the Forms Center. The new members must reside within the corporate limits of the City.
