News Release

For immediate release: December 31, 2019

Located on the Boardwalk by the Snoqualmie Depot in Historic Snoqualmie

Snoqualmie, WA – New kiosk displays located by the Snoqualmie Depot share the city’s past through a historic and cultural overview along with a walking tour of downtown Snoqualmie.

The historic display depicts the Snoqualmie River and its confluence of cultures, industries, and environment. The display includes information and photos to illustrate the town’s rich history, past to present. A walking tour display gives visitors and residents a chance to explore downtown businesses and iconic landmarks through stories of their early years in Snoqualmie.

Information and photos for the displays were provided by the Snoqualmie Tribe, the Snoqualmie Valley Historical Museum, King County Landmarks and Heritage Commission, Savor Snoqualmie Valley, and the City of Snoqualmie. Funding for the kiosk displays, which were designed by artist Kat Marshello, was provided by a Port of Seattle grant.
