Last week, a media outlet published a letter stating that the Snoqualmie Fire Chief position is vacant. While the letter has since been corrected, it generated rumors within and inquiries from the community regarding the status of the fire chief position at the City.
The City of Snoqualmie wishes to clarify that Mike Bailey continues to serve as Fire Chief of the Snoqualmie Fire Department. On December 11, 2023, Mayor Ross appointed Mike Bailey as Fire Chief, which the City Council approved via unanimous vote.
