Snoqualmie Valley Transportation (SVT) is now hiring for part-time weekend shifts as it prepares to expand bus service in the Valley this summer. SVT estimates these pat-time shifts could earn employees $1,200 per month. Interested applicants should visit www.svtbus.org for details.
“We’ll be ramping up quickly, so we will be fully staffed for the start of weekend service in July,” explained SVT Director Amy Biggs. “All our new hires will go through full training to make sure they are successful.”
Beginning weekend service will be a big addition to local bus service, which residents have been requesting for many years.
SVT needs eight drivers and two call-takers for Saturday-Sunday shifts on both the Valley Shuttle and the demand-response service, plus a relief driver and two full-time dispatchers. All positions are hourly, starting at a minimum of $24.79, increasing to a minimum of $25.31 after 90 days of employment, with scheduled annual increases and cost of living adjustments. Hours are specific to each position; find all job descriptions at https://svtbus.org/weekend-service-job-openings.
