Lane Closures Start August 15 for Snoqualmie Parkway/Swenson Drive Traffic Signal Project

TRAFFIC ALERT INFOGRAPHIC 2

On Monday, August 15, 2022, contractor crews working for the City of Snoqualmie will begin a two-week project that will recoat paint on the large traffic signal poles at the intersection of Snoqualmie Parkway and SE Swenson Drive. The project is expected to be complete on Friday, August 26, 2022.

Drivers should prepare for potential traffic delays as this project includes lane closures on Snoqualmie Parkway and a block-long section of Swenson Drive on both the eastbound and westbound approaches to Snoqualmie Parkway.

With project work impacting this main arterial, residents living in neighborhoods on the east and west sides of the Snoqualmie Parkway and Swenson Drive intersection are encouraged to consider the below alternate routes to avoid potential traffic delays.

Alternate Routes

  • Snoqualmie Parkway Westside Residents: Utilize SE Swenson Drive to SE Jacobia Street to Snoqualmie Parkway as an alternate route during construction hours.
  • Snoqualmie Parkway Eastside Residents: Utilize SE Swenson Drive to Swing Ave SE to SE Jacobia Street to Snoqualmie Parkway as an alternate route during construction hours.

Contractor crews will perform work during normal daytime hours, with lane closures limited during peak commute hours in an effort to reduce traffic impacts.

The week prior to the project commencing, drivers will also be notified of potential traffic delays by electronic reader boards placed in the project area.

The City thanks residents for their patience as this traffic signal maintenance project is completed.
