Snoqualmie residents are invited to a virtual town hall meeting on Tuesday, October 12 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. to talk about Snoqualmie Proposition 1, the Sales and Use Tax for Transportation Improvements.
A presentation by Mayor Matt Larson and department directors will be followed by a Q&A session.
Learn about the impact of the potential sales tax and use increase.
- How much would the sales and use tax cost in dollars and cents?
- What types of purchases would be affected?
- Would residents and non-residents alike pay the tax?
- Would the City’s annual $40 vehicle license fee continue or be eliminated?
- To what extent would transportation improvements be funded?
- What City programs would be included in the improvements?
These questions and more will be addressed during the town hall.
Information about Proposition 1 is posted on the City website now at bit.ly/SnoqSalesTax.
