The infection rate in Snoqualmie has increased slightly in past weeks, but cases have been low overall. According to the county dashboard, since February 25 there have been 93 positive cases in Snoqualmie, three hospitalizations, and zero deaths.
What You Can Do to Help Reduce Risk: Double Down
It’s time to double down on prevention measures. As time goes on, there can be COVID-19 fatigue with some people being tired of wearing masks, adults and teenagers congregating in groups of more than five, and, likely, a decrease in regular handwashing.
To reduce the spread, save lives, and move toward Phase 3, please revisit and follow these practices.
- Wash your hands often for at least twenty seconds.
- Wear masks in public as required by state law.
- Stay six feet apart from anyone outside of your household.
- Limit contact to five, other than those in your household.
- Older people, pregnant women, and those with compromised immune systems are strongly advised to avoid crowds.
- Stay home when sick. Call the doctor rather than going to a hospital with symptoms of COVID-19 such as cough, fever, or respiratory problems.
- Consider taking the temperature of all household members each morning and stay home if there is a fever of 100.4°F (38°C).
