[ARCHIVED] Snoqualmie Plein Air Paint Out Winning Artwork Announced

Artist Alex Trapp, an award-winning Snoqualmie Plein Air Paint Out artist, painted in three downtown locations on August 15 in honor of this year’s Railroad Days.

Based on a Facebook vote, participants selected “The Wheel,” inspired by the historic lumber bandmill wheel at Railroad Avenue and River Street, as the 2020 Plein Air Paint Out winning artwork that will be used for the annual poster.

This is the thirteenth year of the Plein Air Paint Out, which means to paint outdoors. The event is hosted by the Snoqualmie Arts Commission, with a mission of keeping a vibrant arts scene in Snoqualmie. The Falls Compounding Pharmacy in downtown Snoqualmie contributed to this year’s event by hosting a pop-up gallery of the three posters.

The Snoqualmie Arts Commission will create a poster based on “The Wheel” which will be available for sale to the public.
