[ARCHIVED] Blood Donors Urgently Needed Amid Local Shortage

The City of Snoqualmie is partnering with Bloodworks Northwest for a second time to provide a safe and convenient location for blood donation during the pandemic.

According to Bloodworks Northwest, “Blood centers are reporting inventories falling to their lowest levels since the early stages of the pandemic as hospitals resume elective surgeries.”

Snoqualmie City Hall is temporarily closed due to the pandemic, but the City Council Chambers will be open as a blood donation center from August 31 through September 4.

All donations will be tested for COVID-19 antibodies

Appointments are required and can be made at bloodworksnw.org; no drop-in donors or guests will be allowed. Masks are required and can be provided if needed. Information about giving blood during the COVID-19 pandemic is at bloodworksnw.org/coronavirus.
