Mayor Larson Signs Emergency Proclamation for Overnight Warming Shelter
Snoqualmie, WA – Snoqualmie Mayor Matt Larson signed an emergency proclamation allowing Snoqualmie Valley Shelter Services to open an interim overnight warming shelter for the nights of October 30 and 31 and November 1.
“With temperatures dropping near freezing this week, the City of Snoqualmie recognizes that homeless individuals and families with children could experience potentially life-threatening exposure and need immediate temporary housing,” said Mayor Larson.
The interim warming shelter is located at the American Legion Post 79, 38625 SE River St in downtown Snoqualmie. Hot meals will be served, and all bedding is provided. Overnight hours: October 30, 8 p.m. – 8 a.m.; October 31, 8 p.m. – 8 a.m.; November 1, 6 p.m. – 8 a.m.
