Community Meeting to Focus on Community Center/YMCA Expansion

Snoqualmie, WA – The Snoqualmie Community Center/Snoqualmie Valley YMCA is outgrowing its space due to a high volume of member and community use. A temporary portable structure has been added and permanent expansion is under consideration.

The expansion would add 22,000 square feet to the current facility for a total of 35,000 square feet. This space would accommodate additional multi-purpose spaces for programming, an expanded fitness center, and an aquatics facility with warm water pools and 4-6 lanes for lap swimming.

A City of Snoqualmie Community Meeting about this potential expansion has been rescheduled from May 19 to June 9, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

The June 9 community meeting will include an informative presentation followed by an interactive element for community members to express thoughts about the project. It will be at Cascade View Elementary School, 34816 SE Ridge St in Snoqualmie.

Teens are encouraged to attend, and children are welcome.

Free sandwiches, cookies, and beverages will be available.

Learn more about the proposed expansion of the Snoqualmie Community Center/YMCA on the City of Snoqualmie website at www.cityofsnoqualmie.org under “Community.”
