City Administrator

Role and Responsibilities

The City Administrator serves as the chief administrative officer under the general direction and authority of the mayor. In this capacity, the administrator is responsible for the City’s day-to-day operations and the coordination of work among all departments and programs.


City Administrator Mike Sauerwein joined Snoqualmie in January 2022. He has approximately 30 years of executive municipal experience, having served in Medina and Sammamish, Washington, as well as Sheridan, Oregon. Mr. Sauerwein holds a bachelor's degree in political science and a master's degree in public affairs from the University of Oregon.
