The Snoqualmie Fire Department is hosting a First Aid, CPR & AED* Class on Saturday, May 14, 2022, from 9am to 3pm ( with 1/2 hour lunch).

This Heartsaver class combines basic first aid, CPR, and use of an automatic external defibrillator (AED*). The class is an instructor-led, video-based course that teaches participants critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first-aid, choking, or a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrive. Students will learn how to initially address shock, bleeding, sprains, broken bones, and other incidents requiring first-aid. Upon finishing the class, students will receive a completion card valid for two years. Cost: $35 (check or cash), includes a workbook and key chain/face mask. (Ages 16+)

Call 425-888-1551 or e-mail eoc@snoqualmiewa.gov to register.

[*An AED is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses life-threatening heart-related problems of many types including sudden cardiac arrest. The equipment is able to treat a victim through defibrillation, the application of electricity which stops the arrhythmia, allowing the heart to reestablish an effective rhythm. With simple audio and visual commands, AEDs are designed to be simple to use for the layperson.]
