Options for People with Limited Income to Get Around

  • ORCA LIFT Card: An ORCA LIFT card provides reduced transit fares on 9 different service providers, including King County Metro and Sound Transit.  A person’s gross household income must be no more than 200% of federal poverty level to qualify for the card. Upon qualifying, visit an enrollment office with verification documents. For assistance, call 800-756-5437.
  • Subsidized Annual Pass (Cash Benefit Programs):  The subsidized annual pass allows for King, Pierce, or Snohomish county residents who are receiving ongoing DSHS cash assistance benefits to travel on King County Metro services and Sound Transit Metro services at no cost for up to 12 months.  For benefits eligibility visit, washintonconnection.org or call 877-501-2233.  To apply for the subsidized annual pass, call either 800-756-5437 or 877-501-2233.
