Classes
The Snoqualmie Fire Department offers classes for the general public for CPR, first-aid, and use of AEDs. Classes are held at the Snoqualmie Fire Department, 37600 SE Snoqualmie Parkway.
**Please note:
1. Starting October 1st, 2025 class charges will increase due to new state law regulations(ESSB 5814). Each class has increased by a total of 5 dollars to include retail sales tax.
2. Beginning in 2026, class payments must be made in advance to secure a spot on the class roster. This policy is being implemented for attendance reliability and ensures people on waitlist have the opportunity to participate if space becomes available. Payments are in-person only M-Th 9am-2:00pm. If you need accommodation email smendoza-martinez@snoqualmiewa.gov. Cash, CC or checks accepted.

March 28th, 2026 – Naloxone/STB - 10am-12pm. No charge.
April 25th, 2026 – First Aid/CPR/AED – Adult/Child/Infant - 9am-3pm. $50
May 13th, 2026 – CPR/AED only – Adult/Child – 6pm-9pm. $40
June 6th, 2026 – First Aid/CPR/AED – Adult/Child – 9am - 3pm. $50
September 12th, 2026 – First Aid/CPR/AED – Adult/Child – 9am -3pm. $50
September 26th, 2026 – Naloxone/STB – 10am - 12pm. No Charge.
October 14th, 2026 – CPR/AED only– Adult/Child – 6pm - 9pm. $40
October 28th, 2026 – BLS Provider CPR – 6pm - 9pm. $55
November 14th, 2026 – First Aid/CPR/AED – Adult/Child/Infant – 9am-3pm. $50

CPR and AED
This class combines CPR and use of an automatic external defibrillator (AED*). The class is an instructor-led, video-based course that teaches participants critical skills needed to respond to and manage a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrive. Students will learn CPR techniques and how to use an automatic external defibrillator. Upon finishing the class, students will receive a completion card valid for two years. Cost: $40(includes tax) per person, includes a workbook and key chain/face mask. (Ages 16+). Course covers Adult and Child (infant only by special request, email for more info).

First Aid, CPR, and AED Class
This class combines basic first aid, CPR, and use of an automatic external defibrillator (AED*). The class is an instructor-led, video-based course that teaches participants critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking, or a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrive. Students will learn how to initially address shock, bleeding, sprains, broken bones, and other incidents requiring first-aid. Upon finishing the class, students will receive a completion card valid for two years. Cost: $50(includes tax) per person, includes a workbook and key chain/face mask. (Ages 16+). Course covers Adult and Child (infant only by special request, email for more info).

*An AED is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses life-threatening heart-related problems of many types including sudden cardiac arrest. The equipment is able to treat a victim through defibrillation, the application of electricity which stops the arrhythmia, allowing the heart to reestablish an effective rhythm. With simple audio and visual commands, AEDs are designed to be simple to use for the layperson.
Opioid/Fentanyl Education & Overdose Reversal Training Class
In this one-hour class, participants will learn about multiple situations that can lead to an opioid overdose; how to recognize potential and actual opioid overdose situations; and how to respond to an opioid overdose to save a life.
Participants will be trained to administer the lifesaving and opioid reversing drug Naloxone and be provided with a Naloxone emergency medication kit at the completion of training.
Education topics include:
- Who is at risk?
- The opioid family of drugs.
- Overview of the opioid public health crisis.
- Examples of fentanyl-laced common pharmaceutical pills that can be deadly.
- Action to take to save a life and reverse and opioid overdose.
- Overview of Good Samaritan laws that offer protection from lawsuit or prosecution while helping others and protecting the opioid user from arrest.

STOP THE BLEED® Training Class
Why Learn?
A bleeding injury can happen anywhere. We've all seen it happen too often—on the news or in everyday life. Life-threatening bleeding can happen in people injured in serious accidents or disasters. Instead of being a witness, you can become an immediate responder because you know how to STOP THE BLEED®.
What You’ll Gain from the Class
The person next to a bleeding victim may very well be the one who’s most likely to save him or her from bleeding to death. By learning how to STOP THE BLEED®, you’ll gain the ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively to control bleeding once you learn three quick techniques. Take the STOP THE BLEED® training course and become empowered to make a life or death difference when a bleeding emergency happens.
How We Teach
Our instructors will teach you live—in person, using training materials specially developed to teach bleeding control techniques. They will not only instruct you, they will also be available to check your movements as you practice three different bleeding control actions. They will keep working with you until you demonstrate the correct skills to STOP THE BLEED® and save a life.

Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR/AED
This class is intended for those pursuing careers in the provision of healthcare or those that are already licensed providers. In this fast-paced learning environment, the HSI Basic Life Support (BLS) program is for participants to gain or improve knowledge and skill proficiency in high-quality CPR skills and teamwork for the adult, child, and infant. This program reflects the latest resuscitation science and treatment recommendations published by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR), and it conforms with the 2020 American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC and the annual Guidelines Update. Cost: $55(includes tax) per person.
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
The cities of Snoqualmie and North Bend offer the Federal Emergency Management Agency Certified Emergency Response Team program for the purpose of training the public to save lives, protect property, and operate safely in an emergency or post-disaster environment. This course is hosted at the Snoqualmie Fire Department, held on Saturdays from 9 am to 3 pm.
