What is the cost of the proposed construction?
The market value of the structure will be based on assessed value of the improvements. If the cost of the proposed construction equals or exceed 50% of the market value of the structure, then the substantial improvement provisions shall apply. The Building Official will verify proposed construction costs of construction prior to review of flood permit.
