Prescription Drug Disposal

King County Med-Project has a community drug drop-off kiosk located in the police station lobby area, which allows residents to bring expired or unwanted medicines to a convenient, centralized location for proper disposal.

  • ACCEPTED: Medications in any dosage form - except for those listed below - in their original container or sealed bag.
  • NOT ACCEPTED: Herbal remedies, vitamins, supplements, cosmetics, other personal care products, compressed cylinders, aerosols, inhalers, medical devices, pet pesticide products. All things over the counter may be thrown into the garbage can.

Additionally, twice per year the Snoqualmie Police Department partners with the DEA for its nationwide Take Back Event. During these events, disposal drop-off locations are typically placed at the Snoqualmie Fire Station and North Bend City Hall.  Take Back Events occur in late April and October.

[**PLEASE NOTE: Sharps can be disposed in SPD's sharps container located outside of the police station lobby bathrooms. Please make sure it is a minimal amount as space is limited**]
