The Snoqualmie City Council appointed Cara Christensen for Council Position 6 at the City Council meeting on September 27, 2021. Mayor Matt Larson administered the Oath of Office, after which Councilmember Christensen took her seat immediately. City Councilmember Position 6 opened following Councilmember Sean Sundwall’s resignation effective August 30, 2021.
Councilmember Christensen has lived in Snoqualmie since 2014. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Puget Sound along with a Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. She has worked as an attorney for law firms in Irvine, California and in Seattle, Washington.
Having served on the City of Snoqualmie Planning Commission from 2015-2017, Councilmember Christensen returned to the commission in 2020.
On her application for the City Council, Councilmember Christensen’s top three priorities included the lingering effects of COVID-19 on businesses, affordable housing, and working to maintain a high quality of life for Snoqualmie residents.
Councilmember Christensen was appointed to Position No. 6 by the City Council on September 27, 2021.
